CURRENT VACANCIES - WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY RECRUITING We are a well established London practice with an impressive portfolio of completed and ongoing projects. We work mainly in the field of education both in the maintained and non-maintained sectors. We can offer all our employees direct involvement in projects at all levels from client meeting, design team meetings and site meetings. The experience which can be gained for Architects at Part 1 and Part 2 level is invaluable. We believe that all employees should be given the opportunity to be directly involved in all aspects of the design/building process QUALIFIED ARCHITECTS We are always on the look out for recently qualified Architects to take an active role in our many current projects. The projects we have are extremely varied and are all in the field of education both in the maintained and non-maintained sectors. Candidates should be able to demonstrate via their portfolio and at interview, a good degree of technical ability and to be able to work quickly, intuitively and pro-actively. AutoCAD skills are preferable. PART 2 - ARCHITECTS Part 2 Architects will need a good technical knowledge and a flair for design. Ideal candidates should be able to show technical as well as design ability. We are interested in people who are enthusiastic and want to get involved in all aspects of building quality buildings. We occasionally offer an excellent package for the right candidates in addition to a good salary which can include a contribution to final year University fees and additional study leave during your final year. PART 1 - ARCHITECTS Part 1 Architects need to have a good technical knowledge, a good sense of design and the ability to want to continue to learn during the year out. We occasionally offer an excellent package for the right candidates in addition to a salary which can include contribution to University fees for your final 2 years, a stipend payments to help with student loans and additional study leave during the year out Candidates should be willing to get involved at all levels of the Design/Building process and show enthusiasm. You will gain an enormous amount of experience at BH&M as we believe that all employees should be given the opportunity at all leveles of the process. ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIANS Working predominantly on educational projects, the main duties will include assisting with the production of technical documentation, including planning applications, plans, elevations, sections, tender drawings, construction drawings and details. It will require liaising closely with the chief Architect and also engineers and surveyors for technical information, which you will need to be able to incorporate into drawings. In addition, you will also be required to attend client meetings and site visits to oversee progress, and liaise with consultants and contractors. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and experience of working in a similar role. A high proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Applicants must have membership of the
Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and hold CIAT, ACIAT or
similar qualifications.
